LCnet Promotes Knowledge and Citizenship
Education is the center of citizenship, so LittleCandle.Net (LCnet) helps educators,especially the resource-poor entities, with economical but effective technologies.
The first project of LCnet (in year 2005) is nationwide distribution of the
Open Source Server that enables mass distribution of content in education,
particularly basic education (elementary and high school).
At the same time, LCnet trains the youth in information and communication
technologies (ICT) so they can assist local governments, NGOs, or
businesses in informing and interacting with citizens.
For content, LCnet collaborates with institutions as well as with individuals to
create (1) interactive syllabi for basic education, (2) interactive lesson plans
and tests for teachers, and (3) interactive kits for citizens.
